Michael Kane I've built, designed and performed with puppets for over ten years. Much of my work stems from Bread and Puppet theater as I grew up very near them and there summer circuses and in 2005 I worked for them as a puppeteer. I'm also a professional actor. I have my M.F.A. in acting form the American Repertory Theater at Harvard. I've built puppets for theaters and events across the U.S. including The Denver Children's Theater, Burning Man Festival and The American Repertory Theater. My goal is always to provide the actor/performer with tools of inspiration for their characters. A puppet is only as alive as the actor operating it. Much of my work has been big puppets using Papier mache and found objects. Cheep and big is how I like to make my art.
